There are several things you can benefit from by removing your ballast. The first thing you would think of is that it helps to reduce the troubleshooting issues whenever you have issues with your installation (e.g. light is not turning on or insufficient light output). As the ballast also depends on their lifetime it will also break over time. By not having a ballast in your fixture it both saves you some costs, and it's easier to find the cause of the issue whenever you have one.
By removing your ballast you will also save more energy as the ballast itself consumes energy. So if you no longer need to be depended on the lifetime of your ballast, but only your tube, it guarantees a longer lifespan over time.
Before bypassing your ballast you first need to check if your light source (tube) is established to run on Mains (AC) without a ballast. If you want to remove your ballast we recommend you to ask your certified electrical for help. They have the education needed in order to do such a re-installation of your fixture and can ensure the safety of your lights.
