Choosing the right ballast for a lamp will optimize the light output and life of the bulb. There are different kinds of ballast. Depending on the light technology your light have, you need different type of ballasts. The most common ballasts are operating with fluorescent lamps, and the two kinds of ballast are: Conventional (EM) and Electronic (HF).
